Delete your account

Applies to the optional Hearth cloud account (web, Android, and iOS apps).

You can delete your cloud account yourself, inside the app, in seconds. No email, no waiting, no questions asked.

How to delete your account

Open Hearth and go to Settings → Account & cloud sync.
Tap Delete cloud account and confirm.

What gets deleted

Your account record (email, display name, sign-in credentials).
Every synced entry stored on Hearth's servers (already unreadable ciphertext — we could never read it anyway).
All sign-in tokens for your devices.

Deletion is immediate and permanent — there is no retention window and no "soft delete."

What stays

The journal on your device is yours and is not touched. Hearth keeps working fully offline without an account, exactly as before.

Can't access the app?

If you can no longer open the app on any device, email support@hearthgratitudejournal.com from the address on the account and we'll delete it for you.
